As we pause to remember the fallen from two world wars and multiple other conflicts, may we be thankful for the sacrifices thousands of Australian troops have made to ensure we live in a democratic, free country.
Their blood, their wounds, their lifelong scars paid for our freedom.
Never let us forget the price they paid.
Let us resolve to defend the freedoms they won for the generations to come, and may we work together to ensure peace between nations wherever possible.
