The Democratic Labour Party is pleased to announce its support for this Saturday's Love Adelaide Walk for Life, standing with women and the unborn.
The rally will be held once again at Pennington Gardens, with gates opening at 9am for a 10 am start. Attendees are encouraged to arrive as early as possible to secure a good position and avoid the rush. Last year, 5000 rallied in the cold and rain to protest abortion and the organisers are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year.
The current State Parliament has been one of the most anti-life, anti-family legislatures in the State's existence, passing laws that formally legalise the practice and allow for abortions up to the moment before birth. This Parliament also passed laws legalising "voluntary assisted dying" (VAD) laws. Both changes were strongly prosecuted by the Liberal Attorney-General Vickie Chapman and Minister for Health Stephen Wade, with support from the Greens, most of the ALP and Connie Bonaros from SA Best.
The DLP is Australia's most strongly pro-life party, unwavering in its support for the dignity of all people, and we support life from conception to natural death. (DLP Life Policy).
As we head to the Federal election in a couple of months, the DLP South Australia team wants to confirm our cast-iron commitment to pro-life principles and our promise that those members who are elected to Parliament will advocate and present Bills to the house that progressively reverse the current laws permitting abortion and euthanasia.
Commitment to pro-life values are a mandatory requirement for all full (paid) members joining the DLP. If you share those values, we ask that you join us today via this link and march for life this Saturday with us.
