Education

  • Introduce a voucher system allowing parents to use government money to educate their children through government, private or home school.
  • Encourage parental involvement in education: this includes encouraging home-schooling.
  • Support the ability of faith-based schools to teach according to the tenets of their religion.
  • Support the continuation of chaplaincy programmes and optional Religious Education classes within both faith-based and government schools.
  • Make provisions that following the successful completion of Year 9, students have the choice to further their studies either through
    • Vocational Education Training (VET) courses coupled with an apprenticeship or traineeship;
    • military service including study or;
    • matriculate and proceed to university.
  • Introduce compulsory history classes in Years 8-9, exploring both indigenous culture and the benefits of Western civilization.
  • Practical subject content including reading, writing and arithmetic, practical skills including finance and business.
  • Reform sex education to focus on biological reproduction only.
